Meave started where most good ideas do, on the shop floor.

Our two founders spent years working in lighting shops, helping people find the right lamp for the right corner of their home. They saw the same thing happen again and again: someone would fall in love with a beautiful wall light, then walk away the moment they heard it needed an electrician, new wiring, or a hole drilled into a freshly painted wall. The lighting people actually wanted was too often the lighting they couldn't have.

So they set out to fix that.

Meave makes wireless lighting that looks like it was always meant to be there warm, considered, properly made but goes up in minutes, with no wiring and no professional needed. Charge it, mount it, done. It's lighting for real homes: rented flats, awkward hallways, the wall by the bed where there was never a socket.

We design everything with the same question in mind that we used to hear across the counter every day: "Will this actually work in my home?" With Meave, the answer is yes.

Today our lights are in more than 75,000 homes, and the thing we're proudest of hasn't changed since the shop floor helping people create a bit of atmosphere, everywhere.
